Late 2016, Ollie Joseph — a rapper, songwriter, occasional singer — emerged from the mid-Michigan area, releasing his first single to all streaming platforms. Exposed to many genres of music as a child, the Tokyo, Japan born artist has since cultivated his own versatile catalog of over 50 songs. Ollie’s output of tracks range from swaggering modern hip-hop anthems, to melodic ballads that are sure to trigger your feels. His worldly experience has given him the upper hand in differentiating himself from the typical hip-hop artist in that every song stands creatively differentiates itself from the next. Having traveled to over 20 countries, the now Los Angeles based emcee’s tunes are inspired by circumstances many his age have gone through, but with his own twist.
